Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026 · Applies to the Persi Telegram bot, the workspace at app.persi-ai-agent.com and this website.
Who we are
Persi is a personal AI assistant in Telegram, currently a free alpha test. It is operated by Nick Gushchin, Zurich, Switzerland. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect
- Your consent and Telegram account data: Telegram user id, language, and for the first test users your public profile (name, username, bio, profile photo, and birthday or personal channel if you made them public).
- What you send Persi and what Persi creates for you: messages, notes and wiki pages, reminders, files and calendar entries.
- P2P sharing: an image or file is sent to another user only when you explicitly address one of your accepted Trusted people in the attachment caption. The recipient sees who sent it.
- Vault entries you add in the workspace. They are encrypted per user (AES-256-GCM) and are not readable by the AI assistant.
- Usage data: request counts and costs, to run the free quota and protect the service, and a usage log for product statistics: your Telegram user id, the kind of action (for example "request", "command"), an automatically assigned topic (for example "reminders") and the time. The usage log never contains what you wrote.
- Ideas and opinions you choose to send: when Persi can't do something yet, it asks whether to send your idea to the Persi team (with your first name, or anonymously). After a few days of use Persi may ask once for a short opinion and, separately, whether it may be quoted publicly with your first name, anonymously, or not at all. Nothing is sent or published without your yes.
- Waitlist (closed alpha): if you have no invite and ask to be told when Persi opens, we store, only after you tap "I agree to be contacted about Persi": your Telegram id, name, username, language, the email address you give (optional; without it we contact you in Telegram only), where you came from (the bot or this website), and the time and wording of your consent. Purpose: only to contact you about Persi, when it opens or with your personal invite. Retention: deleted 30 days after we send you your invite, or at any time on request: "Remove me" in the bot, /deleteall, or an email to us.
- Invites: each user has one personal invite link. We store whose link it is, when it was made, who opened it and who joined with it (Telegram id and first name, at the time you agree to the terms), so the link works up to its limit and the person who invited you is told that you joined. If a link is full, you can join the waitlist; we then note that you came through a full invite link.
- Connector requests: when you tap Request on an app Persi can't connect to yet, we store your Telegram id, first name, language, the app, the time and, if you write one, your short answer to "What should Persi do with it?", so we can build the most wanted apps first.
- Your ideas list: you can see your own ideas and app requests and their status (received, planned, being built, live, not planned) with /ideas or under My ideas in My Persi. Nobody else sees your entries. When one of them goes live, Persi sends you one short message about it; ideas you sent anonymously can't be traced back to you, so they get no message.
How we use it
Only to provide Persi to you: to answer, remember, remind, create documents and run the tasks you ask for, and to keep the service secure and working. We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train AI models.
Google user data
If you connect your Google account, Persi accesses only the data covered by the permissions you grant on Google's consent screen (you can untick any of them), and only to do what you ask:
- Gmail (read, create drafts): find and summarise mail and prepare drafts. Persi never sends mail by itself; a draft is only sent when you tap Send.
- Google Calendar (read, events): show your events in your Persi calendar, find free time, flag clashes and, on your request, create, change or delete events. Every change waits for your tap on Confirm.
- Google Drive (only files Persi creates or you open with Persi): save documents Persi made for you into a "Persi" folder and read them back.
- Full Drive access (optional, separate permission, off by default): lets Persi see and read any file in your Drive when you ask about it. You can turn it off on its own at any time; your Google connection stays.
- Google data is stored in your private space only as long as needed for these features (for example your next 14 days of events, refreshed every 15 minutes). Access tokens are stored encrypted on Persi's own server and are never given to the AI model.
- Google data is not shared with anyone, except that the relevant parts of it are processed by our AI provider to answer your request. It is never sold, never used for advertising and never used to train AI models.
- No human reads your Google data, unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security or to comply with law.
- You can disconnect at any time in Persi or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect or delete your account (/deleteall), the stored Google data, tokens and pending confirmations are deleted.
Persi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Who processes data for us
- Anthropic (Claude) generates the replies.
- A web-search provider receives your search queries.
- Telegram delivers the messages.
- Cloudflare carries the encrypted connection to the workspace.
Your data itself is stored on our own server in Switzerland.
Security
We take the following measures:
- A separate private space for each user.
- An isolated runtime with no system access for the assistant.
- Encrypted nightly backups, kept for 14 days.
- Single-use login links for the workspace.
Your rights
You can:
- Download your data with /export.
- Delete everything with /deleteall, including ideas, opinions, connector requests and your waitlist entry. Only an anonymous record with dates and counts, and the usage log without any message content, remain for statistics.
- Write to us to access, correct or delete data.
The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies, and, for users in the EU, the GDPR.
Changes
We will update this page and tell active users in Persi about material changes.
